Cursed with Benefits

by Roxie Ray

About this book

House-sitting a crumbling, gothic mansion was supposed to be a quiet gig for Nadia, but a clumsy accident turns her boring weekend into a supernatural nightmare. By waking a dormant, centuries-old vampire lord, she finds herself magically tethered to a man who thinks the twenty-first century is a personal insult. Navigating the cutthroat politics of vampire courts is hard enough, but doing it while tethered to a grumpy immortal who refuses to stop calling everyone a peasant is a whole new level of chaos.

This paranormal romance perfectly blends sharp-witted humor with forced-proximity tension. As Nadia struggles to teach her brooding companion that biting is not a valid form of communication, the sparks begin to fly. It is a classic grumpy-sunshine dynamic that crackles with chemistry, offering a refreshing, fast-paced read that manages to be both hilarious and surprisingly heartfelt.

Fans of neurodivergent representation will love Nadia’s relatable, chaotic energy, which grounds the high-stakes fantasy world in something authentic and fun. Whether you are craving a cozy rom-com with a sharp, blood-sucking bite or just need a lighthearted escape into a world of secret societies and supernatural bonds, this story delivers the perfect amount of spice and substance.

This was really good! It was cute, funny, and kept me interested the entire time. It was a refreshing read. I didn’t give it 5 stars because I felt like their conflict was resolved fairly easily compared to other things I’ve read. I like feeling more turmoil, BUT! This was refreshing and gave me “feel good” vibes throughout. And when it was… intimate… it wasn’t overdone and “porn-ish” which I appreciated because sometimes all that is just too much. Overall, this book made me smile a good...

Great plot, perfect amount of spice

Great read, dialogue between the main characters is amazing. Super relatable neurodivergent FMC- coming from a neurospicy individual! You nailed her ADHD traits and feelings. Once I got into it, I could hardly put it down (more my adhd struggles than anything else). )

This book was ok, not bad by any means, just ok

Spoiler alert******** I had really expected...more...from this book, the characters were kind of boring and predictable. The author hinted at a relationship between Lena and Cassian, but just let it drop. I felt like there could have been so much more to this book. Christian needed to turn Nadia, The computer geek needed to be more complex and deeper with the main characters. Lena's fate was left to question. Christian gets his gold, what does he actually do with it??? )

I loved it!!!!
