Bound and Unbound: A paranormal novella duology
Ali Hazelwood
by Lexi Hodges
If you have listened to War of Her Heart, this is Bronwen's backstory.
In the kingdom of Joveryn, where witches are hunted and magic is forbidden, Bronwen and her twin brother, Adar, have spent their lives hiding their gift: the ability to siphon magic from others and wield it any way they see fit. With the feeling of magic coursing through her veins too intoxicating to ignore, Bronwen has found a way to fill that void.
Hunting vampires and stealing their magic.
But the night she encounters a vampire who doesn't beg, who doesn't fight—who simply smiles as she drains him—everything changes. He survives. And worse, he marks her.
Now, bound by an invisible tether to a vampire who refuses to die, Bronwen is plagued by visions of his past victims, forced to live through their final moments. As their fates become entwined, she realizes that he is more than just a monster—he's something else entirely.
With the lines between right and wrong growing ever thinner, Bronwen must decide if she will destroy the creature who haunts her... or forge an alliance that could change everything.
A slow-burn enemies-to-lovers vampire romance.

I loved this book. I didn't think I'd love a book more than the first but these two definitely beat that! The banter and connection can't be beat! Ready to see what the next book has in-store! ) One person found this helpful

It took me a while to finish reading I would say it took me about a month to get 70% of the book and thats when I felt it started to pick up and I was able to finish the rest of the book in two days. I...

From the very beginning this book is very interesting and unique. It draws you in and keeps you turning pages as you read about Winnie and her exploits. )

Gosh, I struggle with how to rate this book. If it wasn't billed and heavily marketed as a romance, my rating would be higher. It's a great addition to the series (it's really a prequel and not book two of the series) and the writing, character development, and overall compilation of the book is a huge improvement from book one (which was an entertaining read). BUT - it's not a romance. There is no happily-ever-after or even \"happy for now\" for the couple. ***Spoilers*** The book ends with...
