Millie is a wanderer who finally seeks stability on the alien world of Krynn. However, after tragedy leaves her destitute, she finds herself working at a dyaan, a place where the fearsome, wing-bearing Kylorr vampires come to feed. Her life takes a dangerous turn when she encounters Kythel of House Kaalium, a powerful ruler whose icy gaze and guarded heart hide a volatile, primal need for her blood.
This gripping installment in the Brides of the Kylorr series is a masterclass in sci-fi paranormal romance. It perfectly balances the high-stakes tension of forbidden love with the intensity of the fated-mates trope. As an optimist navigating a world of dangerous, blood-drinking warriors, Millie is the perfect foil to the rigid and controlling Kythel. Their chemistry is a slow-burn obsession that threatens to consume them both as they grapple with the consequences of their attraction.
If you are craving a story where duty clashes with uncontrollable desire, this is your next must-read. The transition from human outsider to a turned-newborn adds a layer of vulnerability that keeps the stakes dangerously high. Whether you are a fan of Zoey Draven’s immersive world-building or simply looking for a passionate, atmospheric alien romance, this book delivers an unforgettable, heart-pounding experience.

You’ll never be disappointed in a zoey draven book!! ....I think this would be even better if it was narrated by Lia Langola and Aaron Shedlock who also did the Horde Kings of Dakkar series. They really bring the story to life. I loved Kythel and Millie, the characters have so much emotional depth and are so well developed, you can’t help but get pulled into their story. The Kylorr are fascinating they have a whole vampire meets dragon thing going on and the blood mates are pretty intense. The...

4.5 Stars What can I say except that Zoe Draven has got me hooked on sci-fi romance and in particular flying vampires. Book 1 was my introduction to the genre and I absolutely loved that book. Craving in his Blood is no different. There’s something so intriguing and fascinating about bloodmates and especially when it’s a human and a vampire. Yes, book 1 had a vampire and human too but the tropes here differ. Here the tropes are friends to lovers and grumpy/sunshine and it was so good. I really...

How do I know I read a fantastic book? I am sad when I am finished reading it and then I go through a period of moping around saying “well now what do I read? I have nothing to read 😭” (while ignoring my TBR stacks on stacks on stacks). Now how do I know I’ve read a fantastic book in an amazing SERIES? As soon as I’m finished I am sad that I no longer have a new book to unravel BUT I am excited because I want to go back to book 1 and start again. That is how I know that Brides of Kylorr is...

Multiple times while I was reading this story I wanted to already write a review praising this author for such a beautifully written story. This author has such a magic touch to bring characters and their stories to life. I shed tears multiple times while reading this. There were so many beautiful and heartbreaking moments. Throughout reading I kept thinking how Zoey Draven just creates these perfectly written descriptions and feelings that make everything feel emotional and real. This is a...

This was a good read in some ways. Zoey Draven is a terrific writer. The first book in this series was fantastic. While I enjoyed this one, it didn't draw me in like the first one. Mild spoilers ahead, mateys! Pros: As with all ZD books, the writing is great. Dialogue, characters, descriptive text all are really good. The characters in particular are 3 dimensional, quite relatable and interesting in a way that makes you want to know more about them. The world building is a bit more convoluted...
