Bloodthirsty Beloved: A Standalone Vampire Romantasy

by Ella Fields

About this book

King Brey and Queen Ethel were once soulmates, but their fairytale romance soured the moment they were bound by an arranged marriage. What began as infatuation quickly curdled into resentment, leaving the royal couple trapped in a palace that feels more like a cage. They spend their days trading venomous insults and bitter barbs, their once-passionate bond now buried under layers of pride and deep-seated hurt.

This sizzling vampire romantasy plunges you into a world of high stakes and even higher tension. When the protective wards shielding their realm begin to fail, the bickering royals are forced into a dangerous game of survival. They must embark on a monster-riddled quest that demands total cooperation, thrusting them into the ultimate forced-proximity nightmare. Can they cast aside their mutual hatred long enough to save their kingdom, or will their toxic dynamic be the final nail in their coffins?

Perfect for fans of morally grey anti-heroes and sharp-witted banter, this standalone story delivers scorching heat and a compelling enemies-to-lovers arc. It is a decadent, dark exploration of a love that refuses to die, even when it is desperately trying to kill itself. Dive into this addictive tale where the lines between obsession and destruction blur.

top read, absolutely fabulous!

Ella Fields is the queen of romantasy. She can do no wrong in my eyes and her storytelling and writing is next level in every way. King Brey and Queen Ethel are fantastic characters and their lovers-to-enemies story had me enthralled from the jump. A truly unique take on vampire romantasy, Bloodthirsty Beloved has the world-building to make every scene visceral, it has the banter and chemistry that kept me giddy and blushing throughout, it has the snark and tension that kept me on my toes, it...

Toxic vampires *chef's kiss*

I loved these two lazy brats. The flirting and insults between Brey and Ethel were wonderful. They had great tension throughout the book and I really enjoyed the ending. I wish there was a little more explanation about the rest of the kingdom and the wards, but overall a great romantasy! ) 4 people found this helpful

Intentionally Immature MCs!

I adore Ella Fields and desperately wanted to love this book but the pacing and storyline just weren’t working for me. It felt noticeably surface level and slightly rushed compared to her other works. For a moment there our MCs had a bit of a Gone With the Wind Rhett & Scarlett vibe, which I enjoyed and would’ve loved to have seen played up. Paranormal romance fans of cheeky banter, second chance love, arranged marriage, out of touch vampires, open door spice and standalones may enjoy this! )...

underrated author!

Ella Fields is a great author. I have read quite a few of her writings and this is one of the best. She usually ends a lot of her books the same but I was pleasantly surprised that she did not do that this time! This story had a lot of angst and yearning. I felt heartbroken for the FMC and satisfied when they finally resolved their issues. Beautifully written! ) 2 people found this helpful

Death did we part

King Brey and Queen Ethel were madly in love until after their wedding, and an unexpected eavesdropping at the reception was the beginning of the end of their happily ever after moment. Unbeknownst to Ethel, she had been promised to the new King Brey, even though she was happily having a secret tryst with her father's right-hand enforcer. She was unable to disobey her father and reluctantly met this king, and, shockingly, fell for his undeniably handsome face, charm, and innocence when it came...
