Bound and Unbound: A paranormal novella duology

by J.R. Rain
He’s not a vampire; he just drinks blood.
Aaron Parker was born with a rare condition: canines too long, and a darkness he doesn’t understand. On the run after a violent act, he reinvents himself as “Fang,” a ghost in the system with nothing to lose… except his mind.
Then one night, in a vampire-themed AOL chatroom, he meets her.
She’s smart. Witty. Strange. And hiding secrets of her own. Fang doesn’t know her name, not yet, but he knows one thing: she’s not like anyone he’s ever met.
And maybe, just maybe… she’s just like him.
Years later, he finds her in real life. In a dive bar called Heroes.
She doesn’t recognize him. Doesn’t even glance his way. But he feels something pulling them together. A magnetic force not to be denied.
She’s everything he’s been chasing, and everything he should stay away from.
This is how it began.

Anyone who has read the Vampire for Hire books knows Samantha Moon - mom, private investigator, vampire. There is a character called Fang that Sam talks to in an AOL chat room themed for vampire lore. Little does Samantha know that Fang950 was born with extra long canines and actually killed someone. She also doesn’t know that he has been stalking her. This is probably only cool if you’re familiar with the series, but I thought this novella was a nice addition to the Vampire for Hire series....

I always liked Fang, but never clearly understood how he became to be. I enjoyed it immensely, though I thought it might be boring. Nothing of the kind. I've read all the other Vampire for Hire books, so far, and Fang's background, subsequent trial, escape, etc., kept me reading. ) One person found this helpful
