Only his memories can save her…
A great primal power has risen. The Queen of Flesh and Fire has become the Primal of Blood and Bone—the true Primal of Life and Death. And the battle Casteel, Poppy, and their allies have been fighting has only just begun. Gods are awakening across Iliseeum and the mortal realm, readying for the war to come.
But when Poppy falls into stasis, Cas faces the very real possibility that the dire, unexpected consequences of what she is becoming could take her away from him. Cas is given some advice, though—something he plans to cling to as he waits to see her beautiful eyes open once more: Talk to her.
And so, he does. He reminds Poppy how their journey began, revealing things about himself that only Kieran knows in the process. But it’s anybody’s guess what she’ll wake to or exactly how much of the realm and Cas will have changed when she does.
1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout revisits Poppy and Casteel’s epic love story in the next installment of the Blood and Ash series. But this time, Hawke gets to tell the tale.

4.5 -⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 \"I just didn't know that was what I was feeling because love...it wasn't something I thought I deserved. Not after all my mistakes...\" A Soul of Ash and Blood is the fifth novel in the New Adult Fantasy Romance series, Blood and Ash. Acting as both a companion novel to book 2 and a sequel to The War of Two Queens , in this novel we follow Casteel's perspective as he takes Poppy through the events of their first meeting all that time ago in an attempt to keep her tied to the world...

3/5 stars mild spice - retelling of \"Ash and Blood,' literally event by event - f*boy vibes - lots of good Kieran time - MORE explanation of the primals lore - real implications for the remaining 'Ash and Blood' universe - moderate pace Retellings are not my thing, but this one might slide because it also develops the present day story for the next in the series. Casteel Da'Neer, aka 'Hawke,' arrived in the maiden's life as a sexy guard that knew her intimately from their tryst at the 'Red...

Before we get into the review I have to say, I love it when authors go back to the original masterpiece to give the readers more of what we already love so much. Its nostalgic, its comforting, it feels like home and this book hit all those marks. For those that don't know this book revisits the very first book, From Blood and Ash but from Cas's POV. BUT...instead of JLA just giving us the same story from a different POV, she also slipped in present day chapters so essentially, this book is a...

I loved this book so damn much, I didn't want it to end. I fell in love with Cas all over again and even harder. I laughed, I cried, I was shocked, I was crushed... I've been through all emotions possible. This book crushed my heart and gave me hope at the same time. The existing words are insufficient to express what I felt reading this book. From the bottom of my heart, Jennifer, thank you for this magnificent book. I only experienced this once, when I read A Court of Mist and Fury, and...
