All's Fair in Love and Blood

Lu thought she had escaped the Shadow Realm for good, but destiny is never that kind. In this electrifying conclusion to the neon romantasy trilogy, the stakes have shifted from survival to sovereignty. Ashen has abdicated his rule, forcing Lu to ascend as the Queen of the Reapers. Now, she must transform a realm defined by eternal servitude and violence into a land of justice, all while navigating the deep-seated distrust of the immortal courts.
This dark paranormal romcom masterfully blends sharp wit with high-stakes tension. As Lu faces the trauma of her past and the weight of her crown, the enemies at her door prove far more dangerous than the demons in the fog. The Nephilim have emerged from the shadows with ancient, devastating ambitions, threatening to rewrite the fabric of all realms. To stop them, Lu must confront her own fears and master the treacherous politics of a world that refuses to bow.
Perfect for fans of enemies-to-lovers dynamics and gritty vampire lore, this final installment is a lethal, fast-paced ride. Secrets have sharp edges, and love is a dangerous weapon in a land where death is only the beginning. Will Lu survive the war for the throne?

I really enjoyed this trilogy. The ups and downs were worth it. I did feel like with the build up to the finale, the ending was rushed. And kind of like... \"ok, that happened. That's the end?\" But it was the ending that was needed. Overall I would say 9/10. Definitely funny, most definitely spice and a whole lot of sass!!!! )

I have yet to read a Brynne Weaver book that I didn’t like, and this whole series was no exception. As she so beautifully does, BW was able to give us a dark romance laced with wit and humor. When I tell you I laughed during this series, I mean a lot. The kind of laugh that bursts loudly out of me and startles my husband sitting next to me. The level of petty that Lu would stoop to was top notch and I loved her for it. The butter scene(s) had me cackling. It wasn’t only hilarious, though. This...

What an amazing series. I enjoyed every moment of reading it! The world and the character development were so good. And my favorite part of a Brynne Weaver book...the banter, the laughs, the love, were all there in abundance. Everyone talks about Butcher and Blackbird (which is equally amazing) but I also want everyone to discover The Shadow Realms, and Lu and Ashen because I truly loved their love story ❤ )

I’m a huge fan of the Butcher and Blackbird series, and while waiting for the latest book to come out, I decided to delve into Brynne’s other books. I am SO happy I did. I absolutely adored this story, from Ashen and Lu’s love, to Lu’s ascension to Queen of the Shadow Realm, to all of the friends they gathered along the way. This story was so sweet, and the ending truly wrapped up every story line (which cannot be understated as a positive). Thank you, Brynne, for another universe to lose...
