I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THE SEQUELS!!!! I LOVED this book (and the 2nd in the series and just downloaded the 3rd book)! And, I am NOT usually a big fan of paranormal/vampire books. I AM, however, a fan of well-written, highly engaging, well plotted, and well-paced fiction. So far, this series fills the bill and more! This was a free book that looked interesting so I downloaded it for my \"read some time when I have nothing else to read\" file. I was in the middle of reading another book that I was having trouble with so I decided to dig into that file and pulled up A Hidden Fire, boy am I glad I did. A Hidden Fire is an interesting novel with some excellent characters and some pretty thorough world building. If you enjoy a bit of romance, a bit of vampire, and a bit of librarian, this is a book for you. A Hidden Fire takes several elements of classic vampire literature and expands upon them in interesting ways. I apparently purchased this book in 2013 and never read it. I'm now kicking myself - fiercely - for doing so. There is so much to love about this book!!
