Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night

by Kresley Cole

About this book

This scintillating tale about a jaded werewolf and a captivating young witch from the Immortals After Dark series is “delicious [and] sizzling” (Ali Hazelwood, New York Times bestselling author)—from New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Kresley Cole.

Bowen MacRieve of the Lykae clan was nearly destroyed when he lost the woman he loved. The warrior known for his ruthlessness grew even colder, never taking another to his bed—until a smoldering encounter with his enemy, Mariketa the Awaited, reawakens his darkest desires. When sinister forces unite against her, the Highlander must use all his strength and skill to keep her alive.

Temporarily stripped of her powers, Mari is forced to take refuge with her sworn adversary. It’s rumored that no one can tempt Bowen’s hardened heart, but soon passion sparks between them. Though a future together is impossible, she fears he has no intention of letting her go.

If they defeat the evil that surrounds them, can Mari deny Bowen or will she risk everything for her fierce protector?

I enjoy this series from Kresley Cole. The characters are fun and it's got just the right amount of salacious sexiness that can make you blush in all the right ways. Her writing style flows and makes every chapter a fun page turner. This one didn't disappoint. )

May + December = a series getting better & better!

Kresley Cole's third installment in her Immortals After Dark series is likely to be a favorite among fans. We met Bowen MacRieve in the first book, when his cousin Lachlain returned from years of torment at the hands of vampires. Bowen was miserable after losing his mate 180 years earlier. In the second book we see him again, still wasting away and unhappy but with a glimmer of hope as he competes in the Hie in hopes of winning the prize- a key that allows one to go back in time and retrieve...

LOVE Bowen and Mariketa!!

I'm finding it incredibly hard to review these books, because I keep wanting to repeat the same praises that I've previously voiced. Kresley Cole just keeps upping her game in this series, each one better than the last! The world and the characters are as enthralling and immersive as anything I've read. As I've talked extensively about the world in previous reviews, I think I'll just focus on the characters here - and they're worth focusing on. Though Wicked Deeds is just the fourth book in a...

Well-penned, touching tale.

This book's a roller coaster of excitement, great character development, and one of the best plots I've read in what I'd classify as a \"true\" paranormal romance in a long time. \"Wicked Deeds\" opens with a tie-in to the second book in the \"Immortals After Dark\" series, \"No Rest for the Wicked\". The Hie, a legendary contest for immortal warriors, is still in full swing, and we glimpse the goings-on of a few competitors met in the previous novel. Witch-hating Bowen, a Lykae (werewolf)...
