With Hearts of Flame (Deluxe Limited Edition): A Dark Academia Romantasy Novel of Vampires and Dragons Featuring Stenciled Edges and Illustrated Endpapers (Bloodwing Academy, 4)

You know what's worse than my ex-husband?
The apocalypse.
That's why I’m putting the past behind me as I drag my best friends to safety. My ranch is the perfect place for us to lay low while the world falls apart—as long as I can survive the small-town drama.
But I wasn't expecting to come face-to-face with a smoking-hot trespasser who says he owns my property now. Kieran has another thing coming if he thinks he's staying on my land. I don't care if he's working for the government or trying to solve some sort of apocalyptic prophecy that might involve me and my friends.
I’m definitely not swooning over his brooding scowl or beautiful eyes that seem to stare into the depths of my soul while he warns me to stay away.
He doesn't scare me.
Even if he does have wings.
And a tail.
And…
Um…
Did he just turn into a dragon?
To Match A Dragon's Fire, book one of the Sulfur & Spice series, features dual POV, stand-alone novels where the main characters get their HEA before the next story takes place. Books are best read in order as the overall plot unravels. Mind the cliff for the next couple in each book. This series is suited for mature readers who like steamy situations. Tasting notes of a small-town romance, but set during the apocalypse with sexy dragon shifters.

From page one, Heather Carson throws you headfirst into a dystopian, dragon-filled world, and it's exactly the kind of soapy, tropey chaos I love. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chocolate and cheap wine wouldn’t fix the apocalypse, but they could sure make it more palatable. Ember and Kieran have immediate chemistry, the tension builds just right, and the blend of action, drama, and romance is well-balanced. Think post-apocalyptic political unrest meets enemies-to-lovers with claws and fire. 🔥🐉 The worldbuilding...

I’m a good fan of dragon books, and this was a good one. It mixes survival, romance, and some politics in a nice way. The whole vibe of the story kept me hooked, and the world-building is fresh and well done. A few info dumps and an abrupt cliff hanger were a bit boring, but I still finished wanting to read the next book. If you like post apocalyptic fantasy with heart, you will like this one. ) 3 people found this helpful

I had to double check at the end as I couldn’t believe the book was ending!! So glad I already have the second book as will immediately start it. This treasure starts out with a bit of history for the characters that you are going to need to know and then Kieran and Ember meet and this story cuts lose on a whole different level and does not let up!! I love the way Heather Carson sucks you into a story and refuses to let you go !! I’m off to find out what happens now!!! ) One person found this...

This is the story where the Earth is having major problems. It is apocalyptic times plus spotty WiFi connectivity. Ember has finally convinced her BFFs to leave the city and go to her dad’s farm hidden in the country. Lo and behold when the ladies arrive, the farm has been transformed into Kieran’s home now. Ember was not having that. This is Ember and Kieran’s love - mate journey. The end was abrupt with a partial happy ending. Lucan and Riley look to be the next mated pair from the epilogue....
