The Witch's Wolf: Fated Destines (Fated Destinies Book 1)

by Heather K. Carson

About this book

Fate doesn’t exist.

But try telling that to the growling wolf shifter who thinks I’m his mate…

This is not my week.

Or month.

Or year.

My now-ex-boyfriend cheating on me with my best friend?

I’d get over it eventually.

Pretentious chefs who looked down on me because I never went to culinary school while I was raising my little sister?

Screw ‘em.

Finding out my sister has Lycan wolf DNA and I have hours to get her out of the city before she’s locked away in a government research facility?

I definitely didn’t see that one coming.

To save my sister’s life, we take off in the middle of the night following cryptic instructions from our late father to what was supposed to be the toxic wastelands.

Imagine my surprise when we stumble into a fairy tale civilization of wolf shifters where magic is real and a frustrating, but ruggedly handsome pack enforcer has serious plans for me.

The big, bad, and hungry wolf thinks I’m his fated mate and he’s not taking no for an answer.

That’s just the icing on the metaphorical cake.

But this isn’t some magical bedtime story.

Real danger exists in the Cerberus pack. There’s a poison in the ranks. Shifters are leaving. My sister isn’t safe.

And a blood-thirsty Alpha murders anyone that challenges him.

Which I may--or may not--have accidentally done…

Did I mention today is not my day?

Twists and turns and unpredictable story line

June 29, 2025

Have to say that this book really was a fun read! The story line appears to be something predictable and boring shifter book, boy was I wrong! Every time I thought I had the story figured out the author threw in a curve ball that was totally out of left field. Good character development, interesting world building, and I honestly do not mind that it ends in a cliff hanger. That just gives me incentive to go get the other books in the series. I'm looking forward to becoming more familiar with...

From Dystopian Society to Wolf Pack

April 26, 2025

This book has a different take on a wolf fated mate storyline. The heroine and her younger sister start out in a dystopian city where what they are is hidden from them. Their father taught Sage, whose magic was manifesting, to hide her magic deep inside herself. No magic or werewolf’s were allowed in the city of pure bloods. When Sage’s sister is discovered to be part Lycan, they must run from the only place they’ve ever known. With nowhere to run, they go to a small, run down city of...

The plot was fast paced, never boring always engaging holding the readers interest and immersing the reader's mind. One of the lead characters, Sage, a witch of good intent was wonderful drawing courage from all resources, kind, thoughtful with everyone's best interest in promoting well being in and around her sphere. Let's not forget to mention Maddock who is wolfishly masculine and handsome with skills galore. He is provocatively gentle and protective as the situation warrants; as well as,...

4 star read knocked down to 3.

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I was REALLY intrigued when I started this book because it’s very well-written for an author I’ve never heard of in a genre that I read all the time (MM ROMANCE). I was nearly 10% of the way into the book before I realized that this was MF Romance instead! Seriously. It took that long before the MC was revealed to be female. Nothing in the book description or first few chapters mentioned that the older sibling is actually a woman. Ugh. Well, by...
