The Unyielding (Call of Crows Book 3)

by Shelly Laurenston

About this book

Two warriors butt heads and fall in love as they save the world in this romantic adventure by the New York Times–bestselling author of The Unleashing

Stieg Engstrom, Angriest Viking Ever, has got big problems. The human Viking Clans of earth are in danger of being obliterated—along with the rest of the world—and the only one who may be able to save them is a super pain-in-the-ass Crow. Most people annoy Stieg, but this is the one woman he really can’t stand . . .

Erin Amsel loves being a Crow! Why wouldn’t she when the other Viking Clans are so hilariously arrogant and humorless? She’s not about to let all that come to an end! She just didn’t expect to be shoulder to shoulder in battle with Stieg. Then again, he’s so easy to torment—and also kind of cute.

With the future of the world riding on them, Stieg knows he’ll have to put aside his desperate need to kiss the smirk right off Erin’s face. Wait. What? He didn’t mean that—did he? No!They have one goal: To conquer the idiots. Because nothing bugs Stieg more than when idiots win. If only he can keep himself from suddenly acting like one . . .

Made of win, not a standalone, and so worth the wait.

Okay, so I'll admit that I didn't like Erin much at all in The Unleashing. I mean, she wasn't just mean, she was a straight up beyotch and only because Kera was forgiving and not the type to hold a grudge was Erin let off from the vast amount of shiz she pulled. That being said, I adored Erin in The Unyielding. Her spunk, intelligence, ability to start a whole lot of sh...yeah, she just really fit into her everything in this story. She suddenly made sense to me in a way I didn't like before. It...

Erin, Stieg, and a goat. Can it get any better. LOVED IT!

I know everyone is getting tired of me raving about Shelly Laurenston, but tough, she is awesome. I love her writing and I love this book. Erin has been a favorite of mine since she stared terrorizing Kera in The Unleashing. Erin is annoying, aggravating, and awesome. Anyone who can drive someone crazy in under a minute, how great is that? And to pair her with Stieg - still better yet. Throw in a goat - crazy, fast-paced story ahead. The set-up is that Ragnarök is coming and Erin is the only...

Even with all the graphically described violence these book are great. During the first in this series I was not sure about it because it is quite a bit different from the author’s other series but I have now read them all and have grown to totally enjoy them. The combination of action, humor, romance and myth based fantasy results in a novel worth diving into. )

Another Page Turner.

What can I say that hasn't already been said by all those 5 star's review's, that I so 100% agree with. Modern day Explosive, laugh out loud, psychotic un-put-downable (want to be a crow), not for the faint of heart, what with all the gorey smelly tearing off of body parts, Dragon's, crazy ass, think they're better then everyone else (which just makes them delusional) God's, Shifters, witches, demon spawn's from hell, a mean nasty squirrel & a goat, then last but not least, a Crow & a Raven,...

My favorite band of women!

I received an ARC of this book from the Publisher, via Netgalley, this does not affect my opinion of this book or the content of my review. Erin “Fire Hands” Amsel is a bit of a dick, ok, not just a little bit, but a real dick. She messes with people because she can, She’s A.D.D. extreme with a snarky attitude and a puckish sense of humor, and I ADORE her like the sun!. Of course being that we share a name, I was predisposed to favor her, but I have enjoyed her offbeat worldview from the start...
