A cursed prince. A forbidden bond. A fate neither of them can escape.
In a forest humming with magic, Micah never expects a single encounter to unravel his life. The man he meets is wrong in ways he can't explain... too composed, too knowing, too dangerous to be real.
And yet, Micah stays.
Drawn into a connection that feels inevitable, he finds himself entangled with a prince burdened by a curse that stains everything he touches. What begins as a fleeting encounter quickly deepens into something neither of them can control.
But the closer Micah gets, the clearer it becomes... they are not alone.
Something is watching.
Waiting.
The truth is more dangerous than Micah imagined.
The betrayal cuts deeper than he's prepared for.
And loving him may cost more than Micah can survive.
Caught between desire and ruin, Micah must decide how far he's willing to go before the choice is no longer his to make.

The writing style was beautiful, and felt very intimate at times. The story builds up kind of slowly and has a lot of politics, which I didn't mind, (first book in a series and world building and all) because the author still managed to make it gripping, interesting and even funny and charming. Psychologically, it was especially fascinating for...
