It was a stupid wish. One that's come to haunt my doorstep fourteen years later.
When I made a pact with my best friend to marry each other if we were both still single at thirty, I had no idea it would be magically bound . . . by me.
Time and circumstance have separated us, and we're no longer the naïve teenagers we once were. I'm thriving with my coven and Silas is the newly appointed Alpha of the local shifter pack.
Which is why this marriage will never work.
The Celestial Coven and the Moon Walker Pack have had an ongoing feud that spans generations. My former best friend has now become my sworn enemy. Unfortunately, my magic hasn't gotten that memo and my nemesis/husband is now living under my roof and walking around my house topless in gray sweatpants.
I don't want him. I shouldn't want him. But why do I find myself stalling at figuring out a counter curse?
Contains mature themes.

The Marriage Hex by Sarah Blue was the coziest surprise—witches, wolves, and a magically bound marriage pact that brings two estranged best friends back into each other’s lives. I was living for the banter, the forced proximity (he’s shirtless in sweatpants, help), and the constant push-pull between loyalty and longing. And the suspense subplot? Had me throwing my Kindle across the room more than once. Silas and Violet tension is everything, but it’s the warmth of the coven, the sweet slivers...

My first Sarah Blue read and it was PERFECT for spooky season. Witches? Check. Shifters? Check. Mysterious secrets and a cloudy past? Check. POV WRITTEN BY THE SHIFTER'S WOLVES? CHECKITY-CHECK-CHECK. This childhood best friends to enemies to hexed lovers was a wild ride from start to finish. I loved the multiple POV story telling (I'm a SUCKER for when we get the wolf's perspective because they always have such disdain for their socially-constrained human counterparts and it makes me laugh)....

I liked the setup, and was intrigued with the coven drama and the mystery of the FMC’s childhood. This is a qualified recommendation because for most of the book, the romance was lacking heat for a good portion of the story. They gave friendzone vibes not undying love. At least not from the FMC’s side. But the characters’ friendships and the eventual confrontation with the main villain kept me reading. I’d give the next book a read when it comes out. ) 3 people found this helpful

Every time I pick up a Sarah Blue book, I know I’m in for a great read.
