A page-turning paranormal suspense novel about a woman fighting for a new life―and the bite that shifts everything. "A deeply satisfying tale . . . werewolf fans should check this out." ―Publishers Weekly
To escape her violent ex, Charlotte flees her home in the middle of the night with nothing but the cash in her pocket and a paper map leading her north to Alaska. She sheds her old self along the way: dyeing her hair, scrubbing off her fake California tan, and pawning all her jewelry. None of it is worth anything if she can’t stay alive.
Alone in the wilderness, Charlotte feels safe at last. Even if she’s lost, even if she’s only got a burner phone that lost its last bar miles ago, and even if she missed her turn and can’t find the cabin she was promised by a friend. Tucked into a sleeping bag in the back seat of her ancient truck, she’s finally living life on her own terms.
But that feeling is short-lived. In the middle of the woods, Charlotte’s attacked, brutally, unforgivingly―and something bites her leg. And it’s a bite that will change her life forever.

I loved The Bite by ZW Taylor. It takes the werewolf story in a direction I haven’t seen before and makes it feel real and emotional. The writing is clean and pulls you in right away, and the characters feel like real people you actually care about. I especially liked how it showed the raw and scary parts of becoming a werewolf while still keeping the human side front and center. It felt fresh, exciting, and I couldn’t put it down. ) One person found this helpful

This version of The Bite was so different than the one I read on Wattpad years ago. I think I liked the Wattpad version a little more, but I don't mind most of the changes that were made. First off, what I did like: 1) getting more of a backstory on Charlotte and Nate's abusive relationship and the challenges of escaping a relationship like that despite the physical abuse, 2) seeing a softer side to Levi's character (the Wattpad version had him very abrasive most of the time), 3) Charlotte just...

I read this book in two days. It was fantastic, and the characters incredibly relatable and amusing. The plot is riveting. That said, I read the original story on Wattpad several times because it was one of my favorites (Which is why I bought the book) And I feel that it is important to note that this is not the same story, but a new version of it. I made the mistake of constantly comparing the two, pinpointing the subtle and not so subtle differences. So, if I pretend to have not read the...

It's ok, good, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I think the author is a good writer, though. There are some grammar mistakes or more like parts of words missing, but the storyline is good. ) One person found this helpful

I've never read this author but have already ordered the second book of the trilogy. I can hardly believe that she knows exactly how the turn works and what the main characters are feeling. I couldn't put it down. )
