I expected the cliffhanger, but it was still a doozy! I really enjoyed this book. The plot moves fast. I was really drawn into the action, the politics, the plotting, the battles, etc. I did feel a little frustrated with the romance aspect, which is why it’s 4 stars, instead of 5. Seriously! Why do I read incomplete series! SMH! SMH! SMH! I hate waiting! Now I have to hang on to this dang cliff until dec...jan...? Gah! Elizabeth Briggs writes it all in this second book.
