Spark of Fate: The Shifting Fate Series, Book 1

by Tessa Hale

About this book

It was supposed to be a fresh start. A completely blank slate in a place where no one knew about the tragedy that ripped her family apart six months ago. A tragedy Rowan can't help but blame herself for.

Now the only thing she wants is to blend in. To escape the house that has become more like a prison. Her new school is her only hope. Somewhere she can pretend she's just like everyone else.

Only Rowan doesn't realize how unique she is. Holden is the first to recognize it, but he's not the last.

Rowan can't explain the draw she feels to the guys who have found their way into her life. The way something seems to spark the first moment she touches each of them. How it almost hurts to walk away from them at the end of each day.

Things are changing, from the ripple of power humming just below her skin to this new family she's finding herself a part of. But not all of the changes are good.

Someone doesn't like the power Rowan is stepping into or the bonds she's forming with the guys who have gifts as rare and strong as her own. And when the truth is revealed, it has the power to burn everything in its wake . . .

**Book Review: *Spark of Fate* by Tessa Hale*

**Book Review: *Spark of Fate* by Tessa Hale** I can’t even begin to describe how much I enjoyed this book. Tessa Hale does an incredible job of pulling you into the emotions of the characters, making every moment feel raw and real. Rowan’s journey is heartbreaking, but the way she leans on her wolves for strength is beautiful to witness. Even though Holden has some growing to do in the communication department, the character dynamics are seamless—no awkwardness, no forced connections. That’s...

Enjoyed and Finished this Series

January 2, 2024

I’ve been DNFing a lot of series lately because I just don’t care enough about the FMC or the plot enough to bother, so I was pleasantly surprised when I finished the whole series in 2 days (it’s the holidays, don’t judge). I felt like this series started out strong and finished strong. I liked the FMC and her mates, the plot was engaging and I never found myself rolling my eyes because the villain or MCs did something stupid or out of character. It was well written and well edited. Slight...

you I mean you don’t understand

Speechless at that ending thank god the next one is out. I’ve been fluttering through stories as nothing has gripped me in a while. I’m in a meh part right now as far as books tv etc I’ll enjoy it but there’s no obsession with having to know what happens and I know they were good books as I finished them and I won’t if it doesn’t keep me engaged. I’ve read maybe 20 books and it hasn’t brought me out of the mehs. This one. Wow. Holy smokes. I give you the back story so you can understand it was...

Really likeable harem!!

November 21, 2021

A really nicely developed plot and likeable FMC and harem! So many RH books recently have had really harsh characters or an enemy to lovers setup. Spark of Fate has some sections of super witty banter, interesting characters, and lots of potential plot development and mysteries to fully uncover in future books. That being said, book 1 was very satisfying and I didn't feel cheated at the end - there was enough meat in the story to want to keep reading and to not feel like I got the rug ripped...

oh the emotional turmoil!

October 3, 2024

This was a good read. The characters are interesting so far. All the interactions with the mom were excruciating! Poor Rowan. But she has the chance to make her life better. Let’s see how she reacts. The only thing I’m not a fan of is how Coby and Sam seem to be serving their own self-interests instead of what’s good for the pack. For the second and third in command for Mason, this just doesn’t make sense for their behavior. But this ended on a cliffhanger. So in order to find answers you must...
