Another fantastic installment of the Dark Hunter Series. I loved every minute of it. Sherrilyn Kenyon has an amazing ability to blend all the genres into a beautiful hope-filled tale. The Dark Hunter Series is one of the best series out there if not the best. Each story tugs at my emotions and leaves a lasting impression. The last time he trusted a woman, it cost Cadegan his soul but there’s something about Josette that intrigues him as much as it irritates and frustrates him in this spectacular paranormal romance. If Josette wasn’t having bad luck she wouldn’t have any luck at all and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the story as Josette lands in a hell dimension with a knight and accidentally unleashes something truly evil into the world. This was a good book but to me not as good as some of her past ones. Don't get me wrong, I laughed at it and loved the characters and cheered with the emergence of the dragons but the whole thing felt rushed. This didn't feel like the normal SK \"voice\" and it had the feel of more like a ghostwriter attempting to portray her, which I could be wrong about. The connections between everyone are starting to swirl a bit and I almost feel like I need a chart with strings to connect the dots anymore....

I loved this book, Not as much as I LOVED Styxx but I loved it in it's own way. Which is what you have to do when you meet Cadegan. He's rough around the edges just like a lot of Kenyon's more than normal men. But like the others that is what makes him exceptional.
