I received a complimentary copy of this novella from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it. While this is a part of a series, you don't have read the prior ones to enjoy this on. I personally haven't BUT the first one in the series appears to be very short and free so I'm going to start it now. This was a cute story that appealed to me since I am a little older! Angie never really connected with anyone of the opposite sex since she met and had to leave her fated mate. So being 50ish now, she thinks her chance to be mated passed her by. Damon shows her differently though; and I love his persistence! This story is an enjoyable romance for everyone!. Angie saw Damon at her sister’s wedding and knew they were mates but couldn’t have him as he was married and wife was pregnant. She got home and her father had sold her to a man he owed a lot of money to. She left her family and mate made a new life, never went back home until her mother died but father died too. I loved this so much! I like finding stories about older folk falling in love. This is a second chance romance where our protagonist met and left her fated mate when she discovered he was already married and had his own family. They find themselves 30 years later and Damon tries to show Angie that their age doesn’t mean that they don’t get a real opportunity at being together.
