Fast-paced, emotionally charged, and surprisingly layered. Ruined Mate kicks off the Shadow City: Demon Wolf series with a strong blend of paranormal intrigue, forbidden romance, and personal transformation. I love this author’s writing and stories in this universe she’s created. It’s always a fun ride and adventure. I also love that she creates her stories around the characters we know that we’ve watched from the beginning. I’m especially happy to see Cyrus get his story. This is my second reading of this book and my original rating was 3 stars. I went back and started with the first 2 trilogies, \"Silver wolf Trilogy\" and \"Royal Vampire Trilogy\" and I changed my rating to 5 stars. When I jumped into this trilogy, it was so confusing!! There are so many characters that were introduced in the prior trilogies that I had no idea who was who so I had stopped and did not finish the series.
