With Hearts of Flame (Deluxe Limited Edition): A Dark Academia Romantasy Novel of Vampires and Dragons Featuring Stenciled Edges and Illustrated Endpapers (Bloodwing Academy, 4)

I made my choice, and it wasn’t him. But Kingston Farrell won’t take no for an answer, and I’m not sure I want him to.
Noah gave me his mark, made me his, and vanished all in the same night. Kingston used that moment to claim me and bind me to him irrevocably. What he couldn’t know was by sealing our bond, he set something in motion none of us can stop. He unlocked my wolf, freed her from her cage, and she wants nothing more than to make up for lost time by starting off with a bang…literally. His mark throws me straight into my first heat. My wolf mate can give me his knot, but I’m insatiable. I need more. I need them all—my Norse royal fated tortured priest. But we can’t afford the distraction.
A war is brewing, and there’s no denying I’m at the center of it all. Not when girls who look just like me keep dying. I thought I’d gotten rid of the target on my back, but when I find myself in a demon’s clutches, I know it’s not over. Something evil is coming. It’s stalking my dreams. Making me second-guess everything. And with each new attack, one question looms: "What if that evil is me?"
Warning: This audiobook is not for the faint of heart. It contains an obsessive stalker; a foul-mouthed, inked, and pierced werewolf; a naughty professor with a fondness for watching; a god of mischief; and plenty of heat. If you don’t like your books spicy, your men broody, built, and more bad than good, this is not the series for you. But if you do...listen on, and welcome to The Mate Games.

I am completely invested in this story—I can’t seem to put it down! Rejection takes everything I loved about Obsession and cranks it up even more. The stakes are higher, the emotions run deeper, and the steam is absolutely off the charts. But what I love most is that, alongside all the sizzling scenes, there’s still a strong and compelling plot that keeps you hooked. One of the biggest highlights in this book is seeing real growth between Sunday and Kingston. Their relationship has been tense...

Buddy read #53 this year. 4 stars, would recommend even if you don’t have much time to read. Typos, zero. (I’m really good at finding those if you need a volunteer proofreader.) I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Let me say the premise is awesome, and this could have been an epic series. We end up going super light on character development, plot. There’s no suspense, what would be angst is only drama because it’s resolved on the next page. Seriously, there is so much...

Rejection is the second installment in The Mate Games series by K. Loraine and Meg Anne. This reverse harem paranormal romance novel is engrossing, addictive, and scorching hot! The authors turned up the spice level and you will have to stop and fan yourself from all the sizzling steamy scenes!!! WHEW! Sunday chose Noah as her mate and he staked his claim with his mark on her neck. Suddenly, Noah must leave Ravenscroft University leaving Sunday vulnerable to the danger lurking at every corner....

Rejection is the kind of fantasy romance sequel that makes you forget to eat, sleep, or do anything else but read (or listen). This book dives deep into Sunday and Kingston’s painful past, delivering an emotional payoff that’s both heartbreaking and healing. The added tension with Sunday’s other mate's, a vampire, demi god, and priest only elevates the story. What makes this series stand out isn’t just the steam (though there’s a lot of that), but the careful emotional layering. Each character...

Second books in a series all seem to just frustrate me. I know it’s not over. The story is always going to be a bridge between here and there. So much tension and no release. The frustration I feel at the end of the book is telling of the authors ability to write. I’m mad and frustrated and ready to tear into the next book. I am trying to pick a favorite material but it seems they are all endearing on their own. Like they are one person, complex and each has their own unique struggle. But each...
