Conclusion for the Shadow Beast Shifters and Jaymin just blows me away with this one. This was one of the best paranormal series that not only gave us an amazing FMC to root for in Mera but Shadow is a sexy possessive beast that steams up the pages. Mera has me cackling at times with some of the stuff she says but she is so relatable in a lot of ways. She struggled with the pack from the beginning in Book 1 but easily made friendship with people that saw her for her including some of Shadows...

This installment in the series is a strong continuation that builds naturally on everything that came before. I especially enjoyed the continued storyline, which felt cohesive and purposeful rather than stretched or repetitive. I was really burned out on rejected shifter wolf-mate stories. Very worn out plots, mostly smutty, in and out type books. But I found this one to be exceptionally great. Loved the Dark Wolf God aspect. Very rich writing style, well-fleshed & deep characters, well-built imagery, biting humor, action, twisted plot! Loved the librarian! Loved the verbal sword play! The first book was so impressive, I bought and read the all 4 books of Shadow and Mera. Next I'll get the Simone and Samantha stories!...
