After finishing Sadie's story I took a long break from this world. Sadie's story honestly got a bit bizarre and chaotic and had a strange ending. So I waited until all of Aran's story was released. There's no doubt that Jasmine Mas is creative and inventive af, and a really good writer. Aran's story was funny and action packed. Book 4 almost functions like a spinoff, following Arabella/Aran. However, the main arc of impending doom continues. We get a cameo from Sadie’s crew, but don’t expect them much, in fact hardly at all in boom 4. This book felt like an even darker tone then the first three. I went back and forth on giving this 4 or 5 stars and ultimately I decided it’s absolutely worthy of 5 stars (the reason I contemplated giving it 4 explained below). Ultimately this is a great read! The book is amazing but the first copy I ordered came with water damage. They sent me a replacement copy and this one also came with water damage and what could be dried blood on it. Five stars for the content, but the repeated damaged copies is unacceptable and why it is only three.
