Book 2 is as well done as the first. I really enjoyed this story. It continues the world building of the first book with out copying it. The Pember and Blake are unique with completely different personalities and voices from the couple in the first book. Still a very well written police drama but this time focusing on different jobs, crime scene tech and a homicide detective. The crime its self was really interesting and kept me engaged and trying to solve it along with the characters. Like in...

Just short of 5 stars since the 1st novel in the series was so amazing. There were a few characters that just didn't quite resonate with me in this one. Great storyline though. I loved the strength and the necessity and the overwhelming sense of pride and frailty among the Omegas' in this novel. )

I am so happy I found this author! I devoured book 1 and have now devoured book 2 which is just a well written as book one! We have characters from book 1 now taking the stage and we get little scenes of our beloved main characters from book 1. The romance was in some ways similar but in others very different to the romance in book 1 and the mystery was well done and engaging. I love the growth we got to witness from Pember and Blake as individuals and then as a couple. I cannot wait for book 3...

I enjoyed the story, seeing the MCs overcome and connect. Val was my favorite character. I want to know more about what happens with Ru. I do feel like this person deserves a HEA, despite what they got wrapped up in. )

I loooved this one. I really liked the first one, but I loved Blake and Pember’s relationship. The healing and Pember coming into his own fierceness..and snark. Can’t wait to read the next one! )
