Sometimes you just need a sweet, simple (but oh so spicy) palate cleanser. This is just the ticket. Lola has a knack for building worlds and characters that you get invested in, even in shorter and/or standalone novels. This was such an enjoyable read for me. I love sweeping epics that span multiple books but this was a perfect read for a stormy and rainy afternoon. Our characters accept the situation they are in and dive in for a fun ride. Good story with hood complex characters. This was different and interesting. Good read with good scenes. This is a fast read and I recommend it. )

So this will be filled with potential and, let’s face it, actual spoilers because anything below a four star deserves an explanation. This book had a lot of potential.
