Nanny for the Grumpy Alpha: A Single Dad Forced Proximity Fated Mate Forbidden Love Shifter Romance (Echoes of the Wild Book 1)

by Rhea A. Voss

About this book

A plus-size human nanny. A grumpy single-dad Alpha. A forbidden bond.

I took the billionaire’s nanny job to pay my bills—not to be pinned against the kitchen counter in a very unprofessional kiss.

Worse? I just felt a thick, furry wolf tail brush against my thigh.

My boss, Roman Drakos, is a lethal mix of tailored suits and raw, animal hunger.

He’s a grumpy CEO by day, but a Supreme Alpha by night.

I was hired to take care of his little girl, but Roman isn’t playing house.

And he looks at my curves like I’m his favorite meal.

He doesn’t want an employee.

He wants a Mate.

Grandma’s bills are paid, but my sanity is gone.

Especially when his daughter looks at me and whispers: "Mommy!"

And his dead wife’s sister is out for blood.

But Roman? His claws currently grazing my lace panties...

The Alpha King isn't planning on letting me go.

Cute fairy tale like read

I have been wanting to try a shifter romance and came across an ad for this book on social media. Since it contained one of my favorite tropes, single dad/nanny, I decided to give it a try. Claire is a plus sized nanny who desperately needs a job to pay for heart surgery her beloved grandma needs. Her friend’s father helps get her a job as nanny to June, the daughter of billionaire Roman, who is secretly an alpha werewolf. From their first meeting sparks fly for Claire but Roman’s wolf senses...

Now I'm grumpy

Not bad, not great. The storyline was well thought out and well executed. The characters were as well. It could have been an awesome book. My issue is the editing. Please, for the love of grammer; find a new editor. The errors are one thing, but the missing pieces make me nuts. Before you publish your books, please read them through. This will solve 99% of the problems. A good editor would have caught all of this. ) One person found this helpful

New author for me and great story!

I always enjoy discovering (for me) a new author! This was a very entertaining story! I am glad that I tried it. The story was solid, the characters great including little June-bug, the grammar perfect. I love it when all these elements come together. I even got a little misty-eyed a couple of times. And when done, I signed up for the author's newsletter and bought another book. So, my weekend is set. I highly recommend this story. )

Let me start by saying that this will give you the payoffs you expect, so if you're looking for a fairly light-hearted read with all the classic tropes, you'll be fulfilled. If you're like me, however, you might start to get annoyed fairly quickly. Once the supernatural is revealed to the FMC, she veers toward Mary-Sue Land. That, combined with the rushed plot that could have ended around 80% (but wait! We have to include ALL the things) grates. Then there's the (seeming lack of) editing....
