The first chapter is a flashback to 4 years earlier. This book seems to be from multiple points of view. Emma is a wolf shifter who was abandoned. Aiden is a bit older and has grown closer to her, but they are from rival packs. Apparently, she bears a Mark that he deems the enemy. Emma catches the eye of her pack's alphas son Jacob. Nothing like starting a series and after reading the first book finding out the next two are not part of Kindle Unlimited. I liked the book but I’m not invested enough to pay for the next two. It’s like a bait and switch. If you wanna finish you gotta pay more. )

I did enjoy the story and characters. I felt it was written well. I'm excited to read the next book, so I hope that shows. I truly enjoyed the book if I'm on my way to the next book in this trilogy. Personal Note to Other Read & Listen: There are parts in the audible and book that don't match. If it was just a few words here and there, I wouldn't worry or mention, but this was like a full page of the story is missing or aligned incorrectly with the audible and the book.
