About this book

- [x]

Love Bites is the first book in a snarky supernatural mystery series with a heroine who has her priorities in order: Solve the murder, save the day, but most importantly―feed her cats.

A girl’s gotta eat―and so do her three cats. Recently divorced art history grad student Hanna Harvey has just fibbed her way into a job as the assistant to dangerously drool-worthy art gallery owner Mark Abernathy.

For Hanna, working in the field she desperately loves provides the perfect opportunity to begin putting her life back together. Soon her cheese budget is in the black and her feline life partners are no longer eyeing her like a six-foot can of Fancy Feast.

But when her boss's lady friends start turning up dead, Hanna finds herself in the crosshairs of a murder investigation. Even worse, hunky homicide detective James Morrison fears hers might be the next body he discovers.

With the "help" of the gallery's quirky cast of resident artists, Hanna will have to hunt down the truth about Abernathy’s dark secret―before it hunts her.

A Realistic, Female Heroine meets Brooding, Gorgeous Werewolf? Yes please!!

March 3, 2023

I am a lover of suspense and paranormal, and the touches if hysterical humor and a relatable main character make this series absolute perfection. Your heart will melt, you will fall over laughing, you will cry, and you will finish reading while simultaneously purchasing the next one. Cynthia is a goddess! The stories she writes, the detail in her words, the beautiful fluidity of the storyline. It can NOT be beat! Audiobook review: I am not usually a fan of solo narration, but Stella Hunter...

Cat Lady and the Wolf

This one caught me by surprise. Though I admit, it could have done with a much better editing. There’s a whole section where Hannas name was changed to Hank. That said, the witty banter was on point, the flirtation heavy and the delightfully anxious organization desperate woman main character was amazing. I’m not pleased with the abrupt cliffhanger ending, but a solid shifter novel with an entertaining plot. )

The Perfect Mix of OMG and Aww

This is the first book I have read from Cynthia. Purely by chance I saw this novel in my library because my husband has a habit of grabbing books when they are free. I picked this out of the many because cats were mentioned—how typical. Though the werewolf hint was already given right now the cover, there was still enough mystery in there to get me wondering if it's \"really gonna be like that\". Well, it is, but the way it is revealed still takes me by surprise! Hanna is also an amazingly...

Interesting concept; for the most part, the conceit and the story are relatively well told, and the mystery angle is quite well done. However, it remains unclear how Hanna is able to function as anything masquerading as an adult human. She spends almost all of her time thinking about how long it’s been since she last had, shall we say “adult fun times” for any censors lurking in Amazon? She is so preoccupied by when she has last had such, and the shapes of the male bodies around her, that she...

An absolute RIOT of fun, snark, mystery and fantastic writing.

Rarely do I find an author that immediately triggered the need to purchase all of her books and start reading as fast as possible. This author hit every category of fantastic with her opening book in the Alpha Art Gallery series. I purchased, based on comments from two authors in my “immediate purchase and read” group. I cannot recommend this book highly enough, and these authors were “spot-on” with their recommendation. I also just returned from Amazon where I purchased all of St. Aubin’s...
