This book was magic. I have not had this feeling with a Fantasy book in over a decade. I am eternally grateful to two friends who introduced this series to me and spoke quite highly of it. This book gave me back a little piece of my childhood almost, in the way that it felt as if I literally escaped to another world for a time. I seem to be in the minority who like this book but don't think its outstanding. Seriously, as good as LotFL is, to give it five full stars is ridiculous. It has good points, but it has some bad points as well. I picked this up for $4 in \"like new\" condition after finishing up another of C.L Wilson's books \"The Winter King.\" I loved that book; it was full of romance and fantasy and had a full, engaging plot. So here’s the thing: the writing is good and the plot was had SO much potential. The first 200 pages of the book were great! I was intrigued and excited to get to other big scenes. But by page the 300th page I was like why is this dragging. I was expecting a mating scene, a marriage scene, talks about children maybe, but none of this happened?
