Once upon a time, there was a little girl whose mother always told her bedtime stories before she went to sleep. Stories about big black red-eyed beasts that walked during the nights, where they would destroy villages and kill people in an effort to find their lovers. Soul mates.Lovers to whom they will be bound to until death separates them apart.Elizabeth Zemerlöw simply didn’t believe those stories when she moved to Canada to start her new life with her Aunt Lena and Uncle Louis; but all that has changed when she was suddenly attacked by a big black beast that prowled into the night along with a devilishly handsome man named Henry. With her new life just starting to unfold before her, Elizabeth is starting to question everything she used to believe in including those stories her mother used to tell her.Could they be true?

Interesting book, many twists and turns in this story. I'm looking forward to the next book #2 in the series. )
Booked as soon as I started it, didn't put the book down, pleasseee let their be a number 2 😁 )
This book reads very disjointed which doesn't help the complicated story especially towards the end. There is virtually no back story to the characters to set them against. I have ended the book with mkore questions than answers. Is Jack a hell hound? What are all the scars over Henry's body? These are referenced multiple times but never explained. What is the story with Noah?? The story starts things but doesn't finish them. Monica corners Elizabeth in the bathroom and there is a physical...
The storyline is what kept me reading. The plot is good although you can guess can early on the the villains in the book. The writing is fine although I cannot tell you how many times the word 'latter' was used. I got to the point I cringed each time I saw it. It's worth a read though. )
