I was a big fan of Ms. Kenyon with her Dark Hunter series, up until Acheron (her last great book in that series). She lost me with her Dream Hunter and Chonoicles of Nick series. She's back in full force with House of Fire and Magic. A whole new world with new myths and legends to get to know and entertain us. Interesting characters, lots of action. It's still formulaic, as was the Dark Hunter series. That is part of the charm, like a Hallmark Christmas movie. We know, in general, what is going...

Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of my favorite authors and this book was, as expected, a good read with her style of the beaten down heroes rising to over power their enemies and find their place of power and succeed. This book has a good story line that kept my interest till the end. Had a few edge-of-the-seat moments that had me not wanting to put the book down, but when I did I was looking forward to getting back to it.
