I love this book for so many reasons. Ms. Wells' stories have depth. Whenever someone talks about writing a book about victimization, I roll my eyes and yawn. Typically these books are heavy handed, predictable, and shallow. This is a book that tackles this topic well. Her characters are real in so many ways. I had a great time reading His Curvy Rejected Mate. I loved Flora and Alec coming together, the mild drama and tension, the push and pull between them, and the growth they experienced. I wish I could give this five stars because I love how Cate C. Wells is so honest in her writing. She writes about the ugliness in the world. The ugliness in our hearts and if we allow it to it will consume our thoughts and override our hearts and compassion for others.
