I binged all of the House of Durand books. I have been waiting for closer to the release date of the second book of this series to start. I knew it would wreck me. I love Jack, Tate, and Kyren. I love Erin’s ability to pull you into the world and get captured by the characters. I cannot wait to Book 2! )

I love Jack, she is a little firecracker. Her guys, oh my heart. It should be a non issue, if he knew back when she was 10 and didn't care well then she should stake him.🧛🤪But it wasn't the Durands fault, definitely not Jacks, and hopefully not Kearen (don't know if I spelled that right?) But Kleon deserved what he got. Poor Tate, just caught in the middle. Will the professor pull his head outta his elbow? Can't wait for book two. Loved it! )

So Jack is naive , but this really just made me dislike Pipers character even more. Authors need to ask themselves “well why would an ancient being fall in love with a human women ?” More often than just ‘how can I make the characters meet’. )

This was an interesting sequel/next generation story of the Durands. Jack has had to grow up fast it seems, not getting the normal experiences of other kids her age. I enjoyed reading about her and getting a glimpse of the family again. I look forward to seeing what happens next. )
