Happiness is Earned (Second Chances Book 3)

by Letty Frame

About this book

I’ve fought death. I’ve mastered survival. Now, I’ll willingly bleed for happiness. Because happiness isn’t given—it’s earned.

Six years ago, I lost everything when my fated mate rejected me—my family, my pack, even my wolf.

But against all odds, I found something worth fighting for again: my mates, the other parts of my soul. They’ve caught me every time I fell. They’ve loved me even when I was broken. And with their unwavering love, I’ve mostly pieced myself back together.

But as I step out of the shadows of my darkness, it makes me a much clearer target for the hunters to attack.

My men are gearing up for the final fight, planning the strike that could end it all, but when fate delivers one last, unexpected gift, everything I thought I knew about my future changes forever.

Family ties shift all around me—the parents who betrayed me when I was rejected, the sister who stole the life that should’ve been mine, and the brother who loved me through it all. Each one is tested—and not everyone survives the reckoning of Alpha Atticus Phoenix.

Happiness isn’t a gift. It’s a choice. A fight. A sacrifice.

And if I want to keep the future we’ve bled for, I’ll have to face every shadow that’s ever haunted me—without losing the men who’ve become my everything.

Happiness is Earned is the final book in the completed Second Chances trilogy. Expect fated mates, a devastating slow-burn reverse harem romance, protective alphas, dangerous enemies, and a heroine who must fight her past to claim the future she deserves.

Reader Reviews

This series is stunning.

I read a LOT of books. A lot. I'm rarely moved to post a review. This series is an absolute smash- a FMC whose growth we get to partake in. There are some seriously heavy themes and you MUST read the trigger warnings. The story is so good that I've read past a couple of typos, because the story is just that good. Worthiness, depression, self actualization, forgiveness, and boundaries are explored. Mental health is a key focus in this series, and I'm here for it! Clear your slate for a few days...

Happiness

These are really good novels. They're well thought out with a lot of content. Even though it's a reverse harem, none of Nora's mates are left out. Every character is thoroughly developed and there's plenty of information. However, the novels are also hard to read. They're very depressing. There's little relief from that. They are excellent therapy tools but there are definitely triggers. There are suicide attempts, murder, losses of family. It is slow burn but once the sex starts it's...

Best Conclusion Ever!!!!

I am so blown away with this series! I am absolutely in love with Nora not only for the strong, smart, and fierce character she is but for the struggles that she portrays. The author, Letty, did not skimp out on anything when it came to showing a character battling depression. Not just in this last book but in the first two books as well. The number of times I screamed and cried for her because I felt it, not just through the pages but as someone who battled depression with suicidal thoughts as...

ok so I read all three of this trilogy before I decided to review.

This trilogy was soo good! I couldn’t put the book down. Letty Frame did such a great job immersing you into the world of shifters I could imagine it perfectly. The story was great ,you were able to get to know all the characters without it being too much and she tied up all the loose ends nicely and I didn’t finish the book with a lot of unanswered questions. I loved how she wrote out Nora’s strength, and her story of depression and anxiety was told so well and it really pulled at my...

This one was a struggle…

I’m about 35% through the third book and I’m not sure I can finish. It’s all just too much. The first two books were ok. Not something I really looked forward to coming back to after a long day at work, but I pushed through. At this point, I’m just wondering when it’s all going to end. This series definitely didn’t need 3 books. The amount of irrelevant fluff you could omit from the story really could have been covered in 1 book. First of all, there are just too many mates. The dialogue is...
