This was an amazing sequel. I got o explore more of the world that the author has created, which is wonderful and intricately designed. Oh my heart was definitely put through its paces on this one. What the two MCs had to go through in this story was intense. I have so many questions at the end. The plot is so good but so twisty. Truly a spectacular read. )

This is the second of the Shifted Fates Series where we follow Avery and Cole as they navigate their lives together. The beginning was a bit slow for me with lots of training and many days of Cole avoiding Avery and the two of them having the same fight over and over again which led to Avery acting out- I was frustrated with them both because they were keeping things from each other and I think I’ve decided I don’t really like that trope to the extent it was done here. Well I need more. I love where the story is going and can't wait to read book 3. I did get frustrated with the first half of the book since it was a lot of Avery asking questions and Cole not giving any answers. I feel that pretty much everything could have been avoided if Cole had just been honest with Avery and talked with her. He didn't have to give her all the answers but if he truly loved her he would have at least answered some of her questions and earned her trust. Their relationship...

I really enjoyed this book - it’s the second book in this series ❤️ I loved that we got to witness more of protective and possessive Cole! And that’s he’s willing to do ANYTHING for her - even dooming himself to eternal damnation You get more spice in this book versus book 1 The reason for 4 stars is because Avery is making such stupid decisions all the time while you hope she learns from her mistakes 🤣 )
