Flint's Arrow (Assassin's Alley Book 4)

by Lisa Oliver

About this book

"...he took one look at us and decided we weren’t assassin enough, weren’t alpha enough, weren’t enough full fking stop..."

Flint, snake shifter and the best sniper on the Agency's books, met his mate while he was in the middle of a job. Unfortunately, when the wolf shifter opened his mouth all of Flint's fears came true, and showing a lot more strength than he believed he had, Flint left, did his job, and walked away. But the Fates don't like it when their matings plans don't work out, and Flint is feeling the separation deeply... he only hopes Arrow is feeling the same way.

I made a mistake, but I can’t fix it if I can’t find him.

Arrow, wolf shifter, who works in the Cybercrimes unit of the same Agency Flint works for, met his mate, opened his mouth and shit came out. He knows it. He regrets every second of it. But unfortunately, as far as first impressions went, he'd made a mess of it and he couldn't even find the cute blond assassin, let alone try and get a second chance.

He’s using his actions, not words, Flint realized. He’s showing me, not just telling me, that he can change. That’s a freakingly big change.

That mating pull is strong, and of course, Arrow and Flint need to meet up again, but it's not an easy path. Arrow has to make some big changes to get Flint to even give him a chance, and when other people decide that maybe the bond between Flint and Arrow isn't a true one, they add their own brand of pressure to an already volatile situation.

Flint's Arrow can be read as a standalone, although reading the previous books will give you a better idea of the secondary characters who play a big part in this story. The book does finish with an HEA, and the Epilogue leads into the next and final book of the series which will be out later this year.

Another great story from Lisa Oliver

May 23, 2026

I just loved Flint and Arrow's story. It was really sweet watching them grow together and overcoming their insecurities. I loved how they balanced each other so perfectly and I love their found family. I love all the assassins and their mates and how they come out and come together to support each other. I'm looking forward to the next Assassin's story. I do love all of Lisa's books. They all bring something special to their world and mine as well. Every one of Lisa's stories and characters,...

Great story

I really enjoyed Flint and Arrow's story. After reading about their first meeting in the epilogue of Devon and Wren's book, I really disliked Arrow. I wasn't sure how the author was going to redeem him and make him worthy of Flint. But, she was absolutely able to do it. Arrow had to take a hard look in the mirror to see what he'd done to his fated mate and then work hard to overcome what he did and said to Flint at their first meeting. Flint made him work for it but that's what made their...

Great story and an HEA long in coming

Lisa did a lovely job getting Flint and Arrow together. Wow, it was a lot of work and it took combined efforts of the whole team (the whole family) to help them work it out. Great job! Can’t wait to read about Calvin and Levi and their third. Will be sorry to see the end of this series. )

Good book, good series

I love Lisa Oliver, she builds the world and creates characters that you fall in love with. I usually finish her books in a few hours and then am sad because I finished the book already. )

But, always love!

Picks up where we left off book three. We get both perspectives on Arrow's egregious behavior and his background. His period of enlightenment had me worried for his poor wolf but there's always a happy outcome with this author. Of course, Flint's found family all had a hand in getting this couple sorted. With no shortage of action, humor and heart, this was an excellent adventure and now to wait patiently for the fifth and final book in this fantastic series. So many possibilities but always...
