With Hearts of Flame (Deluxe Limited Edition): A Dark Academia Romantasy Novel of Vampires and Dragons Featuring Stenciled Edges and Illustrated Endpapers (Bloodwing Academy, 4)
Briar Boleyn
by Ruby Dixon
There's only one way to tame a dragon.
Emma Arroyo knows this. She also knows that the big golden dragon captured by her brother's biker gang is in trouble, and it's all her fault. He followed her scent, and now his life is in danger.
She has to fix this, somehow. If she could talk to the dragon, they could form a plan to escape, both of them. But the dragon's mind is wild and full of uncontrollable, killing rage. There's no reasoning with him.
There's certainly no freeing him, not when he's like this. But Emma can't leave without him. There's only one way to solve this problem - a mating. When Emma approaches Zohr to claim him as hers, she realizes just what it means to be a dragon's mate, and how much she's in over her head.... And she learns how fiercely possessive a drakoni male can be.
Contains mature themes.

H: Zohr (Male Dragon) h: Emma (Human Female) This is the 3rd book of this series and is by far my favorite. So in book 2 Sasha was held captive and was able to escape with the help of Emma. But Emma felt guilty leaving the dragon that was taken by her panties. She felt bad leaving him and made it her mission to freed him. She really wanted to talk to him through the minds like Sasha did with her dragon, so she decided to do the same w/out realizing that this will bind them together. Now they...

I really enjoy this series. The dragons are an extreme version of the genre of badasses who instantly turn into totally codependent fawning gorgeous men. (Because, after all, this is fantasy). It's also spared those glaring grammatical and spelling errors so common in romance. I do have some issues with the series in general, and this book in particular, as far as the mythology. It's doubtful the author will ever see this, but on the off chance that she does, here goes: SPOILER ALERT!!!...

I absolutely loved this book! It's my favorite is the series. I love how Emma choose to hump Zohr is order to save him and how Zohr sacrificed his wings for Emma. This book had an amazing plot about the dragon's enemy and giving more background about where they came from. The heat factor was steaming in this romance. I liked the conflict and struggles that Emma and Zohr went through. It made for a fantastic relationship. The romance and suspense was balanced perfectly. I didn't mind the length...

So Ruby Dixon has a wicked mind and a highly accessible writing style that makes for a fun, light escape. I read the first book in this series years ago and am just now moving forward with it, particularly because I loved her God of War book (can't remember the name atm :/ sorry) and thought I'd revisit this series. Granted I am a bit fuzzy on the first book, but I remember it enough to know I liked it. I think I was just burned out on the whole dragon-shifter romance bit back then, so I...

Well she did ask for her readers to review the story if they were so inclined. It just so happens I am. I'm a late comer to the series as I discovered Ms. Dixon about five months ago. I've been on my way to devouring everything she's put out. I started out with a free to read because I'm subscribed to the lender's library on here but when I fell in love with her Ice Planet Barbarian series I started to buy instead of 'rent'. I'm glad I scooped this one up about the time there were 3 reviews. I...
