4.5 rounded up :) This story plays on Jack Frost elements, though I wouldn’t say retelling more like reimagining. Jax is a frost harbinger, who brings in winter awaiting his mate. Jolie is a ballet dancer recovering from a traumatic accident. When Jax sees Jolie dancing, he feels her heart and knows that they are mates. He knows they need each other but first he has to get her to believe in him, and then they have to figure out how to make things work. This was a beautiful story of overcoming...

Etched in Frost is a lovely romantic twist on the Jack Frost story and I loved how Friedman made the Harbingers shapeshifters as well. I’m guessing she plans a couple’s story for each season, and I am HERE for it. I truly hope the fall book will focus on Jolie’s mom. Jolie and Jax are adorable together, and his devotion is something every woman dreams of. Well done, Ms Friedman! )

This one was super cute. A contemporary feel but add some retelling of Jack Frost and a dash of ballerina. I found the spin on Jax Frost so fascinating. I think that what's kept my I tereat so peeked. Jax was fantastic! Jolie is one that has something terrible happen so many years ago. And you learn how Jax then interconnects with that story. And how she slowly but surely believes in something more and that gives him shape and form. And how they can become their mates. It was a very easy read....
