Tough, smart, and seriously ambitious, reporter Jacqueline “Jack” Dolan despises the secretive clan of shape-shifters known as the Ikati―and has become determined to destroy them. After she writes an editorial arguing for their extermination and turns public opinion against them, the Ikati vow to fight back. They plot to send one of their own to seduce the reporter, then blackmail her into writing a retraction.

Women practically fall at the feet of hulking, handsome Hawk Luna, and Hawk relishes the idea of conquering and destroying the fiery redhead who’s caused so much trouble for his kind. The last thing he expects is to develop real feelings for her, but their liaison awakens a hunger in him that he cannot deny. He kidnaps Jack and brings her to his Amazon jungle colony, but the two lovers are soon embroiled in deadly colony politics and threatened by a looming global species war.

As the danger around them grows closer, Jack and Hawk’s forbidden passion may build a bridge between two ancient enemies―or cost them both their lives.

Total non stop action an suspense. I love this book. I started this book in the afternoon and couldn't put it down. Sorry kids it was an order out nite! I don't want to give away too much but must say this book kept me entranced the whole time. Lucas (Hawk) was the best kind of hero, is was tough and determined at first. but as he started to lower his defenses out came the loving, sensitive and protector. Very lonely and needy for true love to be returned our hero of the book go through a few...

... into the world of shape-shifters continues to be as good as the previous books

July 2, 2014

The fascinating journey into the world of shape-shifters continues to be as good as the previous books. The addiction is the beautifully described relationships that occur as the action continues around them. Each couple has their place in the scheme of things and the reference to them as the series is read keeps us involved, that and because the men are obsessively protective and completely enthralled by their women and don't we all want this. The love between Hawk and Jack is particularly...

Its a deep meaning story for Hawk and Jacqueline

October 14, 2021

What a story that this author weaves. It's like she saw this future of discourse and wrote about it. Jacqueline aka Red is a writer that used her platform to incite hate rhetoric. Red thought she was doing it to make her dad happy. He had saved her from an awful situation and she wanted him to be proud of her. Her Dad sideline the shifters, so she would not like them either. New horrible laws were enacted due to her article. The Brasil tribe sent Hawk after Red so that they could discredit her...

Can't wait for \"Into Darkness\"!!!

July 2, 2014

Oh J.T. Geissinger how I love thee. I was captured and taken prisoner from the moment I read Shadow's Edge and have been addicted to the series. Darkness Bound did not disappoint and left us with some pretty intense feelings of what is to come next in the final installment. Hawk is one of our assassins and a member of the Brazil tribe under the leadership of Alpha Alejandro. Hawk is sent out to get blackmail material on a human journalist who has swayed public opinion against the shifters. As...

Another Roller Coaster Ride Of Emotions

July 9, 2022

This series is very well written and brings on all of your emotions. If I may express my one criticism, it is the name “Jack”. Yes, it is a nick name for Jacqueline. However when starting the book and learning the characters I had to keep remembering she was the main character. Naturally I will be starting the next book in the series immediately! It is an excellent series! ) One person found this helpful
