I so enjoyed Lucien & Jaxson's story. He was great, of course he was a dominant alpha, but so tender, loving and patient with her. And so romantic too, I mean decorating his home as per the images he had picked from her mind, and the ending he gave her was perfect. After what happened in some of the later books, where women were treated as second class citizens or run over by the men in the books, in this one the heroine is a partner and a strong, independent woman. In a later book a relationship started off with a semi-rape sexual assault scene and it was sickening. Almost stopped reading her books forever after what happens to Gabrielle when she meets her “lifemate”. Be forewarned because it could be a triggering event/scene and was really disgusting...

so i really am a die hard dark series fan but, yes there is a but. i have read some books out of order. do here goes my review . i feel that this book was wonderful just like i am preety much used to with this story line.
