Dancing with the Dragon: A Cozy Fantasy Romance (Ferndale Falls Forever Book 3)

by Krista Luna

About this book

My misbehaving magic traps me in a spicy romance book with the grumpy dragon, and we have to act out the plot!

The growly dragon is stuck playing my lovestruck boyfriend until we finish the book and win its dance competition. And did I mention that it’s a spicy book? Hoo boy! I’ve gone from competent librarian to mistress of magical mayhem with my very first spell.

Luke keeps me in his castle, demanding I figure out how to break the spell using his magical library… with him hovering over me the entire time!

The fact that he’s so gorgeous makes it downright unbearable. Because every time the book’s plot takes over and Luke sweeps me into his strong arms for a dance, I crave the heat sizzling between us. Even worse? The romantic in me wants all his sweet words of love to be true, which has got to be my biggest mistake of all.

really cute! good miscommunication trope

February 11, 2026

Really liked this one! Miscommunication trope is well done and both Skye and Luke had some insecurities feeding their behavior. The funny part is that the book they got sucked into was so poorly written 🤣 like, Luke being forced to say some of the book lines was so OOC haha Luke’s grand gesture at the end was a bit surprising but it is a fluffy feel good HEA romance so I shouldn’t have been caught off guard at the abruptness. But I was because the prior scenes are on one end of the spectrum...

It was so cozy and very candy sweet.

Thank you Krista Luna for sending me this advance review copy for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily. This was so dang good! It was so cozy and very candy sweet. I enjoyed the grumpy/sunshine vibe, and I kept yelling at my kindle for them to just freaking talk to each other already! I love it when you have two very intelligent people, but emotionally they can be dumb as rocks at times. It causes all sorts of chaos and miscommunication, especially when they both have low self esteem...

I loved this book and it is a perfect addition to the series. Great characters and character growth!

I loved the premise of this book and I think it’s my favorite of the series so far. I enjoyed how they navigated being sucked into the romance novel and forcing them to confront their feelings towards one another. Plot: 8/10 Magic system: 2/5 Spice level: 3/5 )

Grumpy Dragon, Books, and a Wonderful Love Story

January 29, 2026

Dancing with the Dragon is a warm fuzzy love story with a heavy emphasis on books! I loved the dynamic between Skye and Luke. Princess Buttercup was hilarious as well. Overall, I loved continuing the story of Ferndale Falls as a whole. Nice to see some familiar faces too!! I always love it when a grumpy dragon finds his match and ends up being the biggest cinnamon roll ever. I am a huge fan of Krista's and I will forever read what she writes. I just purchased my paperback today to join \"Faking...

Still worth it but disappointing

I wanted to love this book as much as the others but just couldn’t. I DESPISE the miscommunication trope and it lasts almost the whole book. Ugh. Luke is the best and I was so excited for his book since we’ve known his character for a long time but his arc just fell a bit flat for me. He and Skye based all of their thoughts and interactions on just body language alone BUT THEY DON’T KNOW EACH OTHERS SPECIES! So obviously they’re both very wrong and bring in their own pasts and biases into it....
