Magical! A Romance of the Soul!

February 21, 2026

I bought the whole series in paperback years ago and the series is still one of my Top 3 favorites of all time. If you're looking for a quick sweet & spicy read, you're vastly underestimating the series. It is a beautifully written, fantastic one-of-a-kind saga that just keeps getting better the more you read! Elegantly rich verbiage, well developed & enthralling characters, highly visual world-building. Relatable conflict, action, drama, tragedy, humor, and so much more! No glitches, no snark,...

Awesome, Glorious, Bright, Shining Completion of the Series!

October 15, 2012

What an incredible ride! I can honestly say that no other series of books has ever affected me the way The Tairen Souls series has. And that's saying something, as I'm an avid fan of Ward's BDB, Kenyon's DH, Moning's Fever series, Cole's. IAD, Showalter's LOTU, etc., From page one of this last book in the series there was no refuge or relief from the events that exploded, one after another after another, each more devastating than the last, piling up and snowballing towards an inevitable...

A good conclusion to the series

January 15, 2011

(MINOR SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW.) The Tairen Soul series has had its ups (Lady of Light and Shadows) and downs (Queen of Song and Souls), but I would definitely count it as a good series. Even when it is awkward, silly, or melodramatic, it is still somehow charming in those qualities, and enjoyable despite, or perhaps because of, them. After the year of wait following the release of the last book, I was very glad to get back to the story of Rain and Ellysetta, and the myriad other characters of...

Brilliant & Creatively Written!

January 18, 2013

Brilliant & Creatively Written! Just Wow! I am totally blown away. The series is brilliantly written with the world building and the dynasty of connections between the characters. This is one series that imagination and creativity of the plot exceeds any fantasy tale I have ever read. I found myself captivated from the very first book and towards the end of each book I couldn't wait to get to the next book to continue the flowing magical movie like visual of excitement the author's smooth...

Great conclusion to one of the best fantasy romance series!

July 9, 2017

5 stars! What a great conclusion to one of the best fantasy romance series! “My friends… today, we are not Fey, Celierian, or dahl’reisen, but brothers, united and strong, each of us honorable and worthy warriors of Light. We are the steel no enemy can shatter. We are the magic no Dark power can defeat. We are the rock upon which evil breaks like waves. We are warriors of honor, champions of Light.” The world of the Tairen and the Fey was captivating and enchanting. The attention to details in...
