Come for Me: Part 2 by C.J. Sweet picks up right where book one left off and it does not let up. The emotions in this story are so heavy at times, but you’re completely unable to stop listening. The character growth in this book is phenomenal. Watching Alaina come into her strength and truly evolve was so powerful, and King Dax? Utter perfection. The book is well written as a sequel to the first book. It’s an easy read but also with noting spice and the dark romance is heavy on the DARK. If dark is not your scene this is not a book for you. I enjoyed reading through their love story and felt their deep connection through. The side characters love story was a good surprise as well. I absolutely loved book 1 and 2 of the Hunt series. There were twists and turns I genuinely did not anticipate. Dax is my number 1 book boyfriend, for sure. The author is a mental health professional, and as such, in this book the FMC goes through sexual trauma, there is a warning within the book just prior to the chapter, and it explains that if that kind of content is triggering for the reader you can just jump ahead to the next chapter wherein the author essentially wrote up a synopsis of...

I'm kind of torn on this. It was better than book 1. However, it's still very choppy pacing. We get plenty of long and detailed pages of kinky sex, but very little actual regular interactions between Alaina and Dax until the last 20% of the book. On the other hand, we get lots of interaction with her and Colin. C.J. Sweet is a literary genius! The anticipation for part 2 had me biting my nails and on the edge of my seat. We pick up right where we left off in part one of Dax and Alaina’s story and oof did it pack a punch!
