⭐ Rating: 5/5 ⭐ Chev’s Mate was such a treat! I enjoyed this one even more than the first three books in The Female series. Chev’s inner thoughts are hilarious, and I laughed out loud so many times. I had such a fun time reading this! Chev is such a hilarious character to read, and I also was obsessed with how obsessed HE was with his mate. It’s definitely not the strongest in the series which makes sense as it’s a shorter spinoff, but I’m not bothered by that at all. I’m not usually one to love short books as I really like all the nitty gritty details of a blooming relationship, but I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the book, and didn’t mind the length. Just preface this, I DNFd the 3rd book around 70%. It was just way too much smut, and I was no longer invested in the story. But I did thoroughly enjoy the first 2 books and wanted to see what Chev was up to in book 4. Unlike the first books, there was no high stakes fantasy storyline. It was simply a story about Chev and Vanessa creating a relationship. Chev’s chapters were hilarious and his way of looking at things was so pure and adorable. I really enjoyed this one. At first I was irritated and I was like wtf I want the main focus on Charlie and the wrath trio. But I quickly grew to love Chev breaking down Vanessa's walls and being a consent king. Excited to read the next book soon. )

Romantacy finest. This has a new FMC and MMC in the Female Series. I love how the female lead finds her HEA especially after years of abuse. Hubba Hubba our hot bear shifter is amazing. He is kind and dedicated when his mate is revealed to him. He is a bit naive at times but he always comes from a good place, wanting to only do good things for his woman. He honors her past by working hard not to trigger her. Ugh sooo good. Happy Reading Everyone. )
