This is the third book in the Shifter Ops series. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. The third book in the series, and I think as much as I loved the other two this is my favorite. I have seen a lesson in all the books which is a pretty good thing. When he’s trying to protect everybody, and keep your family safe too much? Rafe is trying to understand finding a mate. How can we have a mate? It takes everything to keep his shifter brothers safe and to be alpha. Yet there she is, Adele. His one and only. Not only is she perfect for him, she is human and also has alpha tendencies....

I’m glad to finally read this book! I literally stayed up the whole night finishing it. I couldn’t stop giggling with glee at the beginning because Rafe acted like one of those alpha crime bosses I enjoy reading in dark romances. Then there’s his motives for revenge and protecting his pack, and I got super excited to see how his story unfolded. But toward the end, Rafe and Adele were denying each other for so long, I wondered why they even bother trying. Their reasons for being hot and cold...
