Ace of Shades: A Humorous Paranormal Women's Fiction (Magic After Midlife Book 7)

by Deborah Wilde

About this book

Gehenna isn’t on Google Maps and there’s no Angel Annihilation for Dummies. To Miriam Feldman, list lover extraordinaire, this is an irritating oversight.

It’s fine. She’s got this mission under control. Sure, her instructions are vague, and her team is trigger-happy, but she’s got plenty of motivation to carry them to victory.

Vengeance counts, right?

Plus, if ridding the world of celestial menaces doesn’t top up Miri’s karmic bank, then stopping a vampire contagion will definitely earn her some good will.

Unless it gets her killed. That’s a distinct possibility.

One which she refuses to worry about since she’s got her shiny new relationship with a sexy wolf shifter to enjoy. And honestly, his family dysfunction is making hers look pretty damn insignificant.

How’s that for positive thinking? She’s going to nail this.

Happily-ever-after, here she comes.

Ace of Shades, the thrilling finale, features a later in life romance, a heart-pounding mystery, and a magical midlife adventure.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS SERIES (AND ALL OF HER SERIES, ACTUALLY)!!!!

October 17, 2022

I can't describe the emotions I went through reading this book - and NEVER expected the plot, much less the plot twists, even after having read the other books leading up to this one. I love Miri and Laurent, and ALL of these characters. This series has some of the most well-developed characters I have ever read in a series - most of the time, authors will have 2-3 well developed characters, then several to more \"side\" characters who are part of the story, but mostly in the background. NOT...

Thoroughly enjoyable

Have really liked this series! Will miss it's characters greatly. Plots were all very interesting and original, though outcomes were often obvious (-1 star). Greatly appreciated that at no point did anything seem overtly \"dumb\" though. Each book was also very well-executed (grammar, editing). Particularly LOVE that this author's books are from a Jewish female perspective, with a strong culturally Jewish pov and environment (+2 stars). There is a subtle yet powerful difference in outlook that...

Nice ending for the series

I think this is the last book in the series. As a whole, I liked the series a lot. The characters were great, the writing was amusing at times, and everything was action-packed. )

this series

I have put off reading this book for a few weeks knowing it is the “end” of Miriam, Laurent’s, and her found family’s stories. I think a reread of the entire series will be in short order. These characters are so beautifully written, each one complex and masterfully developed. The world is woven together with so much detail and humor. This final book will have you on the edge of your seat as Miriam works through not one but two mysteries. I don’t want to spoil it for you, and if you’ve already...

Addicting

This one had me on the edge of my seat the whole book. I don't think I've enjoyed a book this much in a long time. Can't wait for the next book. )
