I knew what I was doing when I decided to work secret missions in Heaven. But, I took what they were hiding and walked out before they could stop me, and now they want me dead.

The Archangels don’t forgive, and Gabriel has made it clear that I’m not someone he intends to forget. There’s a price on my head, and every move I make can put me in danger. I can handle that, I always have.

What I didn’t plan for… was Cassius. I am the mate he’s prophesised to claim, and he matters more to me than he should. But there are still people who need my help, and choosing between him and them is a choice I don’t want to have to make.

I’ve spent centuries dealing with enemies who thought they could take something from me: my life, my throne, my brothers. None of them succeeded, but they never stop trying.

Now my enemy have set their sights on my mate. Wren walked into Heaven and took something from the Archangels, and I could have stopped her, but I didn’t. Now Gabriel is coming, and he won’t stop until he has what he wants.

I won’t let him take her, I won’t let anyone touch what’s mine. If I have to draw him out and end this myself, then that’s what I’ll do, because I didn’t wait this long to find my mate only to lose her now.
