When you dance with death, you have to be willing to roll the bones...
Raven BoneTalker, also known as the Daughter of Bones, is one of the Ante-Fae—the dangerous, unpredictable predecessors to the Fae Races. But Raven is young, and she likes interacting with mortals, so she’s opened a business—the Witching Hour—where she takes on clients with ghostly problems. Mostly she reads cards, boots out the odd poltergeist, or helps grieving families contact their loved ones for closure.
But when Lana, one of her friends, comes begging for help, things take a dark turn. Raven investigates what seems like a simple haunting on the surface. But the more she delves into the case, the more she realizes that this is no simple ghost. As Raven untangles a web of secrets and deceits kept for over fifty years, she finds herself in danger, facing not only a ghostly threat, but also a danger that is very much alive.

Whether you're new to her work, or a long time fan, Yasmine Galenorn's newest work will surely rock your world. There's a little something for everyone: mystery, adventure, hints of romantic potential. All in all, Raven is a very relatable and real character, and the world she lives in mirrors our own so flawlessly that I half expect to find myself sitting next to her on the bus one of these days. ) One person found this helpful

I was deeply engrossed in this story from the very start! I loved being able to follow Raven in her daily life and get a glimpse of Raj in his home life where he even speaks to Raven!! This just made him so charming and special! I definitely recommend this book to fellow readers! Don’t let this one get away! )

Raven Bonetalker is an Ante-Fae, one of the beings that are the ancestors to the Fae, though being in her nineties, Raven is not quite old enough to be one of the ancestors herself. As a necromancer, or none-talker, she works with the dead and with spirits. In this book, we meet Raven properly, get to see what her daily life is like, and work through several different cases with her- one of which features a ghostly danger to one of Raven’s friends. This is technically book seven of the Wild...

We get to travel in a spin off to the main ARC. The author let's us explore a character that is a close friend of our heroine. Her abilities are much different because she's one of the elder races. The story is still fast paced, full of danger & we stay fully engaged until the end. )

Another great book from Ms. Galenorn, in the Wild Hunt universe, and yet from a more sultry, even more magical POV: Raven's. While we've seen her a bit in the first few books, in this one we get to see her up close and personal - from the veeeeeery special relationship with her \"pets\", to the amusing annoyance of her neighbors, to what works looks like for her. Oh, yes, and she saves her friend's life and gets rid of a psycho without which the world is a better place. Definite must read if...
