A magical and beautiful story

May 7, 2025

just finished this amazing book in less than 24 hours. I began reading it at 10 pm last night and struggled to put it down. It's about a grim reaper named Seline who has worked for the god of Death, Azriel, for 500 years. Her contract is almost up just as she begins connecting with his younger brother, Gabriel, the god of Life. He also has a cat named Tommy. This book takes you on a magical and romantic journey. There is romance but there are many obstacles the characters have to get through....

This was written really beautifully but the pacing was both too slow and way too fast. I would probably have read a longer book of this though. )

Loved it!!

I have no words.. not enough words to describe the utter love I have for the words I read😭❤️ The endless longing and devastation. The way Gabriel and Silene are plastered forever in a part of my heart reserved only for them..😩❤️ Yes I cried. Like multiple times. With sniffling and all. Yes I was given hope.. and it was viciously taken from me at the literal last sentence😭💔 And still I loved this with that I am. Will always recommend it, till the end of time🥹❤️ )

Truly such a beautiful story of love and longing. Reading this felt like the most painful and treasured gift that I have been given in quite some time. Thank you for that )

A absolutely lovely book

This book is beautifully written. The characters are diverse but you discover that organically. Left with a urge throughout the whole book to figure out the next secret, the next tidbit of knowledge. The dialog between the two main characters ebb and flows so naturally I couldn't get enough. Only sad part is it is a stand alone and I have to imagine the remaining possibilities. )
