The wedding of the century is only days away, but for Charlotte and Lincoln, the countdown is filled with dread rather than joy. As the Ministry of Curiosities faces an existential crisis, a brutal murder by a shape-shifter threatens to dismantle everything they have built. With the press linking the crime to their secret organization, the walls of Lichfield Towers are closing in. Parliament is baying for blood, and the sanctuary Charlie calls home is on the verge of being shuttered forever.
This gripping installment in the beloved series masterfully blends Victorian-era steampunk charm with a chilling paranormal mystery. As the authorities tighten their grip and long-held secrets surface, the line between friend and foe dissolves. Charlie must navigate a treacherous web of betrayal to protect the people she loves, but with her future hanging in the balance, survival might come at an impossible cost.
If you are a fan of atmospheric ghost stories and slow-burn paranormal romance, this journey is a must-read. The high-stakes tension and evolving relationship between the leads make it an addictive addition to the saga. Can Charlie save her heart and her home, or will the shadows of the past finally claim her?
